LESLIE PAGE

April 23, 2004

Leslie Page on April 23, 2004, passed away mercifully and peacefully into the presence of the Lord, with wife Joan and family at his side at the Worthington Pavilion, Abbotsford, BC.

He was born on April 26, 1918 in Victoria, BC.

Leslie was the fourth son born to Galiano Pioneers, Stanley Page and Dorothy Cayzer. Leslie was a 55 year resident of Silva Bay, Gabriola Island where he founded, developed and operated Page's Marina and Resort. He formed a partnership with his constant and devoted wife, Joan. Joan was his mentor and caregiver when Alzheimers challenged him for 12 years. Les was a respectful kind man with clever wit, and quiet integrity who loved the simple pleasures of hard work. He grew gorgeous speciality flowers in his garden on the waterfront and he loved his dogs.

Les was well known to yachtsmen, commercial fisherman and tug boat operators as a Gabriola Legend. He was physically challenged by Alzheimers which forced retirement.

Les will always be cherished by Susan, Brittany, and Jarrid, to whom he was Grandpa, a hero, a good man, and a fun person who left many good memories. Survived by brothers Ron, Cedar, BC. Cremation. Waterfront Memorial Service announced at a later date.

"Grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must. It's only for awhile we must part. Though you can't see me I'll be near with all my love".
