Leonard D., born July 24, 1924 in Calgary, Alberta, passed away at MSA Hospital in Abbotsford on June 14, 2006. He is survived by his wife Margaret of 30 years of marriage; son Bruce of Calgary; daughter Chris-Ann (Claire) Hockley of Claresholm, Alberta; grandsons Bryce and Harrison; step-son Michael; grandsons Max and Danny; granddaughter Crystal as well as great grandsons Casey and Joseph. Leonard served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII and after returning worked for Gulf Oil and the National Energy Board in Calgary for many years. He then moved to BC to become a chief geologist until his retirement in 1988. He was also a past member of the Tsawwassen Masonic Lodge.
A private interment of his cremated remains will be held in Calgary at a later date. In lieu of Âflowers donations may be made to the Abbotsford Hospice Society or to the Children's Hospital in Vancouver in his memory.
