It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lee "Roy" Young at the age of 82 on June 23, 2006. He is survived by his loving wife Gayle of Mission, son Mason (Sherrice) of Portland, Oregon, daughter Pamela (Kent) of Mission, grandchildren Riley and Brenna Young, and Lacy and Cody Adam.

Roy is predeceased by  parents  Delta and Lee Young,  sisters Marian and Elva, brothers David, Ken and Wes.

Roy was born March 1, 1924 in Shaunavon, Sask. He served in the Canadian Navy during the 2nd World War. Following the war, he took up residence in Regina, where he built his own plumbing, heating and air conditioning business.

After meeting his future wife Gayle they chose to move to Portland, Or. in 1962 where they resided for 42 years.  Upon enjoying 20 years of retirement from Nabisco, they chose to move to Canada, settling in Mission.

A Celebration of Life was held on June 29, where family, friends and neighbors gathered.
