Kurt ARNDT

Kurt Arndt of Abbotsford, BC passed away on October 2, 2005 at the Langley Hospice at the age of 73.

Kurt was born on July 15, 1932 in Bugrin Volinien/Poland. He was the second eldest of five children. Kurt was predeceased by his parents, Lydia Arndt (Pelzer) and Eduard Arndt, his younger brother Horst (Ralph) Rudolf and his oldest brother Anton who lost his life at age 19 in World War II.

Kurt is survived by his daughter Carmen; his son Roland; two sisters Margrit Wilson and Linda Arndt of Edmonton as well as his niece and nephew, Liane and Curtis Knichel.

He will also be missed by his cousin and very good friend Monika Gottwald and family and friends of Hameln in Germany; his long-time, true and loyal friend Jean Ollinger of Abbotsford and his loyal friend and cousin Albert Bishoff of Langley.

Our heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude to the staff at the Langley Hospice who helped him pass on with grace and dignity. You are truly gifts from God.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 2029 Ware St., Abbotsford, BC at

1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 11, 2005. A reception will be held downstairs after the service to celebrate his life. His ashes will be buried by his mother's grave in the Chilliwack Cemetary by the family at a later date.
