Kathleen Mary, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great aunt, born June 4, 1917 in Princeton, BC, passed away November 9, 2004 in Surrey, BC.
She taught for 33 years in Smithers, Terrace, Nithi Mountain, Miller Bay, Prince Rupert and in Mission. Kathleen was active in the Hospital Auxiliary, the Fraser Valley OAPO, the Fraser Valley Fair Board, the Federal Superannuates, Lifetime Learning, and Learning Plus.
Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Albert “Bert”. Survived by her loving family: sons John of Mission and Ralph of Toronto; daughter Emily (Paul) Melanson of Coquitlam; granddaughters Elizabeth “Liz” and Paula; sister Joyce Knudsen; relatives and dear friends.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2004 at 2:00 pm at the All Saints Anglican Church, 33077 Second Ave., Mission, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mission Hospital Auxiliary Society, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
