Karl passed away into the presence of the Lord on December 24, 2003 after battling cancer. He was 65 years old.
He is survived by his wife Beth; his loving family, son Kurt (Evelyn) of Kamloops, B.C. and daughters Kristen (Brian) Olynick and Karin (Jamie) Braun of Abbotsford, B.C., 8 grandchildren, Jessica, Kelsey, and Kyle Freudenberger, Caleb Olynick, Alycia, Jeremy and Derek Braun, and Bethany Gasser, and sister Doris of Norwalk, Connecticut. He is predeceased by his daughter Kari (Grant) Gasser in 1990. Karl was born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Moravian College with a Degree in Business Administration and from Oregon State University with a Forestry Degree. Before retiring to Abbotsford, he worked for Weyerhaeuser as an Area Manager in Kamloops, Vevenby, and Princeton Divisions. His fondest memories were the times spent in the wooods.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. from Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, B.C. If so desired, donations can be made to MCC in his memory.
