Joe, age 86, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in Abbotsford surrounded by his family.
He was born June 1, 1931 in Montreal, Quebec. For 50 years, Joe had a long and successful career in the steel industry, starting in Montreal at age 19, and retiring in 1975 from Terra Nova Steel in BC.
After retirement, Joe was actively involved in the Abbotsford Bridge Club, volunteered for many years with Abbotsford Community Services doing Meals on Wheels, Lunch With The Bunch and Crossing Guard.
Joe is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nancy along with children Jamie (Danielle) and Candice (David) and grandson Jackson.
Celebration of Joe's life at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at The Sandman Executive Hotel, 32720 Simon Ave, Abbotsford, BC.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Abbotsford Seniors Bridge Club (c/o Nancy Deba) or the Lunch With The Bunch program at Abbotsford Community Services.
