John K. Thompson
May 31, 1923 - February 2, 2008
We will be gathering to remember John K. Thompson, beloved husband, father and friend.
John is survived by Gladys, his loving wife of 58 years, daughter Lorna (Jim) Paulsen of Abbotsford, son David (Ellen)Thompson of Nogales, Arizona, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren (and one on the way), sisters June (Bud) Fellers and Freda (Tom) Middlemass, brother in law Peter Howard and many nieces and nephews.
John grew up in the Peace River Country of B.C. He served overseas with the R.C.A.F. from 1943 - 1945. He retired from Canada Post in 1986. John enjoyed writing and recorded his experiences and memoirs in several books to share with his family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Sevenoaks Alliance Church Youth Room.
If desired, donations may be made in John's memory to Mission Aviation Fellowship Canada. Envelopes will be available at the service.
