John passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord. He was born in Rocca, D'arsie, Belluno, Italy. He is survived by his loving wife Assunta of 59 years, his sons: Joe (Darlene), Ed (Deanna) and Remo (Cheryl), 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, his sister Battistina, nieces and nephews.
John immigrated to Canada on April 10, 1950. His wife and son soon followed in January 1952. John worked in logging camps on the railroad lines. After settling down on a small farm in Sumas Prairie, they raised 3 sons.
Prayers will be held on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 7:00 pm at St. Ann's Catholic Church with a funeral mass to follow Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
