John, born January 10, 1919 in Burvenkova, Russia to parents Daniel and Elisabeth (Klassen) Krause, went home to be with his beloved Savior and Lord on June 1, 2007 at 11:00 am in the morning at Menno Hospital in Abbotsford after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Predeceased by his parents, brother Henry, Ânephew Dean, niece Kathy and daughter Darlene. Survived by his loving and faithful wife Elizabeth (Betty) of 61 years; daughter Elaine (Chuck) Hughes, TX; Cliff (Joni), Leonard, Michiyo, Calif; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Maclure Road Mennonite Cemetery, 33900 MacLure Road with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm at Central Heights Church 1661 McCallum Road, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to the Gideon Bible Society, Canadian Food For the Hungry, or to a charity of your choice.
