JOHN FRANKLIN REMPEL

June 27, 2004

John Franklin, beloved husband, dad and grandfather passed away peacefully into the arms of is Lord, June 27, 2004 aged 83 years, at Bevan Lodge, Abbotsford, B.C.

John was born in Red Deer, Alta, July 16, 1920, to Jacob and Mary Rempel. He was raised on the family farm in Bowden until he joined the Army in 1942. Shortly after his return from serving overseas he married Myrtle Friesen and settled on Brown Road (240th St.) in Langley, B.C. John worked on the farm and at McCormick Biscuits until his retirement in 1979. 15 years later they sold the farm and resided in Carriage Lane until illness, last year, brought them to Bevan Lodge.

John is survived by his loving family; wife Myrtle; son: Harry (Linda); daughters: Elaine, Carlie (Jack); grandchildren: Michelle (Blaine), Mark, Daylene, Nithanhyle; brother George (Leon); sister Margaret; sister-in-law Jean and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pre-deceased by brothers Wilfred, Jake, sister Marie and son-in-law Doug.

Gravesidee service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3 at Langley Lawn Cemetery (4400 Block of 208th St.) Memorail service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Langley Evangelical Free Church, 20791 48th Ave., Langley, B.C.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aldergrove Alliance Church building fund.
