John Cornelius Isaak passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, May 20, 2007 at the age of 90 years. He was born December 28, 1916 in Alexanderpol, Ekaterinaslav, Russia, and immigrated to Canada in 1924. He was a resident of Abbotsford for the past 26 years.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Lydia Pidde Isaak (1967) and Cornelius Jacob Isaak (1968); four brothers: Jacob (1926), Peter (1962), Cornelius (1987), Abe (1992); one sister Mary (2001); niece Charlotte Isaak Erhenholz (1996); and son Ron (2005).
John is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 66-1/2 years, Kay Fote Isaak of Abbotsford; son Bob (Julia Blanchet) of Denman Island, BC, son Ken (Esther Klassen) of Fresno, California, Âsister Lydia Isaak Strobel (Harold) of Abbotsford, BC; three grandchildren: Kristy Isaak of Burnaby, BC, Jeffrey Isaak (Rene Hill) of Los Angeles, California and Jonathan Isaak of Fresno, California; one great grandchild Carson Isaak of Los Angeles and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A private graveside service will be held Monday, May 28 followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at the Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church.
