Joe BOHACHEWSKI

September 20, 2005

It was with great sadness that we said good-bye to Joe Bohachewski on Sept. 20, 2005. Born in Saskatchewan in 1943, Joe came to BC in 1967 for a “temporary stay” but ended up making Abbotsford his home. Joe is survived by Peggy, his loving wife of 34 years, and 2 children, Rex and Kym, as well as one brother, seven sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, sister, and both parents.

Joe attended technical school but later found his calling as a journeyman lineman. Joe worked in most provinces, northern Canada, and even in Africa and Venezuela. Joe’s strong work ethic and good humor made him well respected and well known in the power line industry and all his farming endeavors. A prairie boy at heart, Joe made an impression on all he met. Joe will be sorely missed by his proud family and many friends.

Thank you to all our fantastic friends and family during this difficult time. Our heartfelt thanks to June Linton and Dr. Margaret Lamont for their loving care to all our family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Abbotsford Palliative Care Program in Joe’s name c/o FVH Care Foundation, 7324 Hurd St., Mission, B.C. V2V 3H5. Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, Sept. 26 at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road in Abbotsford.
