Our much loved Mom and Grandma left this earth on Thurs., Nov. 9, 2006, to join her husband Henry who predeceased her in 1997. Mom was born in Russia on Oct. 2, 1914. As a young girl, she moved to Winnipeg where she met and married Henry Wittenberg in 1935. They were blessed with 7 children and shared 62 years of love together. Cherished are the memories we hold dear to our hearts. Jean was predeceased by her husband Henry, son Ed, daughter-in-law Chelley and grandson Richard. She is survived by her children: Betty (Bert), Margaret (Ken), Bruce (JoAnn), Lynn (Wayne), Shirley (Rob) and Bob (Laura); 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren; along with brother Abe (Charlotte) in Winnipeg and sister-in-law Doris Wittenberg of Ladysmith, BC.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC.
