Jake Siemens, born on January 24, 1926 in Russia, passed away peacefully at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer on September 29, 2003. He was predeceased by his wife Katharina, son Rudy and grandson Leon. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was deeply devoted to his family and his church. He was well known and respected in the business community through a very successful career in construction and land development. Jake is survived by his family; sons Ervin, Vern (Charleen), daughter Charlotte (Jon), 10 grandchildren; brohters Henry and George; sister Agnes Schmidt and Annie Siemens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Eben-Ezer Church, 2051 Windsor Street. Interment will take place at Maclure Road Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 3, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. in Eben-Ezer Church. If friends so desire, donations may be made to MCC in his memory.
