Jean(ie) beloved and kind mother and grandmother passed away on February 3, 2004 in Abbotsford, B.C. Mom was born in 1932 in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. She was the second youngest of a family of twelve sisters and two brothers. She immigrated to Canada in 1955 to face new challenges and adventures but always yearned for her homeland and the comfort of family left behind.
She is survived by her daughter Mary-Jon Vanderstarren (Rob), her son Robert Volleman (Diane), granddaughters Lisa-Marie, Kristy, Emily and Erica, her sisters Geppy Baay of Australia and Henny Oosterhuis of New Zealand.
My mom's gift and legacy was her laughter. She enjoyed to laugh, big belly laughs and could bring joy to a room with the twinkle in her eye, the beginnings of a smile and the anticipation of her laugh. I will miss our days together doing nothing in particular but meaning everything and more. I love you mom "Dag and tot ziens."

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road
