Jacob T. Schmidt
Jake Schmidt passed away peacefully on February 14, 2017, in Abbotsford, BC. He was born on February 25, 1921, on a farm in Schönau near Altona, Manitoba. Jake was self-taught as a farmer, mechanic and home building contractor, excelling at all. Jake will be dearly missed, and is survived by sons Robert and Loren (Susan), grandsons Taylor and Spencer, daughter Donna (Christopher), granddaughter Sarazen and twin sisters Elma and Dora. Jake was predeceased by his wife Anne, brother Henry and sisters Susie and Eva. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, March 11, 2017, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1672 Salton Road, Abbotsford, BC.
