ENTWISTLE, JACK

1922 – 2010

Jack passed away peacefully at Abbotsford Regional Hospital on January 20th, 2010. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy (in England) in 1984, and his second wife, Edith (in Canada) in 2007. Jack is survived by his daughter Janet Garrard of Abbotsford, his son Phil (Janet) of Beverley, England, grandchildren Steve (Lisa), Sharon, Kate and Lucy. He is also survived by step-children Kris (Randy), Jim (Mickey), grandchildren Shelby, Mike, Kim, Stacey, Alia and great-grandchildren. Jack was born in Bolton, England, on April 28th, 1922. During WW11. He served in the RAF in England, New Brunswick and the Bahamas. He married Dorothy and they lived in Bolton and Lancaster, England, where Jack worked for British Rail. After Dorothy’s death, Jack retired to Abbotsford, Canada. Here he married Edith. They were both active members of Sevenoaks Alliance church for many years. Interment and memorial service will take place in England. Many thanks to Dr. William Chan and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Abbotsford Regional Hospital for their wonderful care of Jack. Donations in Jack’s memory may be made to this Palliative Care Unit.
