DERKSEN, Hulda Ann

Hulda Ann Derksen Late of Menno Terrace East in Abbotsford, BC passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 29, 2009 at the age of 93 years. She was born on May 31, 1915 to David and Anna Klassen (nee Tilitzky) in Borden, Saskatchewan. It was in Borden that she and Henry farmed until 1974, when they left the farm and retired to Langham, then on to Saskatoon. In 2003 she moved to Abbotsford to live with her daughter Lucy, then in 2005 she moved into her suite at the Menno Terrace East. Hulda was predeceased by her husband, Henry G., a daughter, Doris Ens; an infant son, Donald; a granddaughter, Brenda Price; an infant great-granddaughter, Kailie Wiebe; an infant great-great-grandson, Gabrien Rempel; her parents and three brothers. She is lovingly remembered by daughters, Doreen (Clarence) Wiebe, Julia (Peter) Neufeld, Lucille (Tom) Baerg; son, Lloyd (Delores) Derksen; son-in-law, Bob Ens; 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Eva Enns; a sister-in-law, Susie Hamm; and many nieces and nephews. Though family and friends mourn her loss, we rejoice together in the assurance that her faith and trust in the risen Lord kept her secure in the knowledge that we will meet again. Our love for her will never be past tense. A time of remembrance and celebration is planned for May 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Borden, Saskatchewan.
