Helene Scheffler was born February 9, 1952 in Abbotsford, BC.
She loved children so much that she became an elementary school teacher, primarily teaching Grade 1 students. Throughout her lifetime she had the opportunity to teach children in 100 Mile House, Germany, the Philippines, and throughout the Lower Mainland.
She was surrounded by her family as she peacefully went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2017 at Abbotsford Hospital.
She is predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Alma Scheffler, and her sister-in-law, Louise Gillette Scheffler.
She is survived by her older brother Walter Scheffler and his wife Elly, and her younger brother Arthur Scheffler; as well as 3 nieces: Anita Froese, Kristy Zacharias, and Jorie Scheffler along with their families.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday December 21, 2017 at 11 am at Maclure Road Mennonite Cemetery.
