Mrs. Helena N. Dyck, late of Menno Hospital, Abbotsford, passed away on Saturday May 14th at the age of 85. She was predeceased by five of her siblings Jacob Toews, Tina Warkentin, Annie Goertzen, Isaac Toews & Herman Toews; her daughter Lois Dyck, her son in law Les Henderson, and her grandson Nathaniel Dyck.

Survived by her husband of 59 years Jacob J. Dyck, her 2 siblings Louise Enns & Mary Wiens, her 2 daughters Sharon (Donald) Fry & Adeline (Hans) Fast; and her son Paul (Carol) Dyck, her 8 grandchildren Janine (Alain) Henderson, Cara (Sig) Birkholz, Konrad (Carrie) Fast, Christl (Chas) Setchell, Nicholas (Diana) Dyck, Matthew Fry, Jordan (Jen) Fry, Eryn Fry, and her 3 great grandchildren Philip Birkholz, Daniel Birkholz & Logan Fry.

Mrs. Helena Dyck was retired at the time of her death, having spent much of her adult life as a missionary to India & Nepal with Worldwide Evangelization Crusade, a Pastor’s wife, a counselor and confidant, and a constant source of encouragement to her husband. She was an active member of Central Heights Church until she became ill in the last years of her life.

Graveside and Memorial services were held Thursday, May 19th. Burial was at Maclure cemetery. Donations were made to the Worldwide Evangelization Crusade in lieu of flowers.
