Helen Ruth (nee Lee)
Born in Langley Prairie (now Murrayville), BC on July 20, 1910, passed away October 6, 2007 in Sardis, Helen was predeceased by her husband Adolf; her parents James and Edith Lee; and nine siblings: Hubert, Samuel, Kathleen, Wilham, Dorothy, Norman, Edith, Richard and Gordon.
Helen is survived by her daughter Carol Edith May Erickson and five grandchildren: Helen Bosch, Mary (Leonard) Doss, Richard (Lisa) Bosch, David Bosch and Kenny (Teri) Bosch; eight great grandchildren; two sisters: Sarah Langdon-Davies and Jessie Middleton, both of Abbotsford; two sisters-in-law: Elsie Sugden of Vernon and Marion Erickson of Campbell River and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral took place October 15, 2007 at Mt. Shannon United Church in Chilliwack, Reverend Catherine Angus officiating.
Helen was a member of Trinity Memorial United Church in Abbotsford and a life member of the United Church Women. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Widows Helping Others and Lunch With the Bunch.
Helen lived a long and rewarding life – she gave freely and lovingly. Her wisdom and sense of humour will be remembered thankfully by all who knew her.
