Heather Irene McMullan (nee Coomer)

September 19, 1957 - August 1, 2009

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of a beautiful mother, darling wife, dedicated friend, long-time volunteer and former Langley Township Councilor. Heather McMullan was surrounded by her loving family when she lost her short but courageous battle with cancer on August 1, 2009. James Dean mused, "Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today". This was Heather's mantra. She had an amazing zest for life and loved purely and deeply.

Heather is predeceased by her parents, Richard and Hilda Coomer (nee Blackett) and brothers Scott and Nigel Coomer. She is survived by brothers Brian, David and Stuart Coomer and sister Lynn Lonnkvist. A celebration of Heather's life will take place at the Christian Life Assembly, (21277-56 Avenue, Langley), at 1pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2009. In place of flowers, the family would appreciate that donations be made to Covenant House, a charity that Heather held in high esteem because of her commitment to youth at risk.
