Guy (P.Eng. 1.1.), born April 18, 1952 in Vancouver, B.C. passed away peacefully in the presence of his family at St. Paul’s Hospital on August 14, 2004.
Guy was predeceased by his father, Gerald Halldorson. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother Hazel Hall (nee Wright); his children, Charety Lambert (Randy), Geoffrey Hall (Kathleen), Erica and Gavin; his grandchildren Mikhaila Hall and Dejia Hall; sisters Diana McAllister (Kerry), Brenda Snow (Ed); brothers David Halldorson (Karen) and Brian Hall as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Guy was a professional Engineer who spent an illustrious career first with BC Hydro and then with Powertech Labs Inc. as an Insulation Specialist Engineer. Guy was responsible for much technological advancement within the field of Electrical Technologies. He was a lifetime member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC. Engineer Extraordinaire, World Traveler, his great intelligence and quick wit will be missed by family and friends.
A Memorial Tea will be held in his honour on Friday, August 20, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford, BC.
In lieu of flowers a donation to charity of your choice made in Guy’s name would be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to those who provided care to Guy at St. Paul’s Hospital.
