VISSER, GRACE

Grace Visser (nee Bos) went home to her Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 88 years of age. She was born May 29, 1920 in Shackleton, Saskatchewan, the fifth of nine children. On June 30, 1943 she married Albert Visser. In 1945 they moved to Abbotsford and have lived here since. Her life career was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, friend, encourager, always keeping her heart open and her hand in Jesus' hand. She is survived by her husband, Albert, her children; Ralph and Jacquie Visser, Len and Barb Visser, Gloria and Bob Brandsma, Carrie and Harold Van Gaalen, and Randy and Renee Visser, 19 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren. Each one of us was her favourite. We have great comfort knowing that she is celebrating with her Lord. Grace loved her family and friends. She loved her Lord. She loved birds, animals, flowers. She loved to make you laugh. She loved sports. She loved music. She loved. She has battled many illnesses in the last 20 years and we thank God for His many miracles that let her stay with us so long. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the staff in the A.C.E. unit at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital for their excellent care these last weeks. Her Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 29, at 1:00 p.m. at SevenOaks Alliance Church, Abbotsford. Refreshments will be served following the service. A family interment service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Hazelwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, B.C. Branch. Donations can be made online at www.kidney.bc.ca or by mail to #200-4940 Canada Way, Burnaby, B.C. V5G 4K6 or by phone to 1-800-567-8112.
