CWO Gord Johnson, OMM (Ret), born May 24, 1936, passed Aug. 26, 2006. Gord worked almost until his final battle with cancer prevailed, with the Dept. of National Defence. Gord's total dedication to DND was 53 years, 29 years military and 24 years as a civilian, an impressive career by anyone's standards.
Gord was predeceased by first wife Lois. Survived by wife Jane, sons Mark and Gordon, 5 Âsisters, 2 brothers (2 sisters locally, Mona Funk and family and Gerta Murdoch); also 3 stepsons and their families, and numerous extended family members.
Gord so enjoyed all the visits from his many friends and colleagues from CFB Esquimalt and personal friends in the past few months. He will be sadly missed by all.
Cremation followed. No service by request.
