Germaine passed away peacefully on January 22, 2004 at Ebenezer Home at the age of 95 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Emile in 1989, two grandsons Nicol in 1966 and Patrick in 2002, 4 brothers Ernest, Raymond, Andrew and Edward. She leaves to mourn 5 daughters Denise Schmale of Edmonton, AB, Sr. Rita Schiller S.P., Annette (August) Bouwman of Edmonton, AB, Claire (Don) Carter of Lyton, BC, Madeleine (Walt) Barg of Gimli, MB; 3 sons Hubert Jean of Langley, Peter (Barb) of Wabamum, AB, and Ray (Wenda) of Edmonton, AB. She has 22 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Prayers will be offered on Sunday, January 25, at 7:00 p.m. in St. Ann's Parish, 33333 Mayfair Avenue, Abbotsford. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 26, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Thomas Shiel, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
