Gerardus Cornelius (Gerry)
passed away suddenly on March 12, 2009, in Abbotsford with his wife Florence at his side. Gerry was born on January 11, 1929 in Naaldwijk, The Netherlands. He immigrated to Canada in 1952. Gerry is survived by his daughters Bernice and Marina, granddaughter Alexis; Florence's children Kathleen, Maureen and Doug, and step grandchildren Candy and Damian; sister Trudy in Calgary and several siblings and respective families in The Netherlands. Gerry had a passion for fishing on the banks of the Fraser River and gardening. Over the years Gerry had been involved with the Richmond Juvenile Soccer League as a coach; a member of the MSA Halfway House Society and the Abbotsford Alano Club Society.
