NICKEL, GERALD (JERRY) ROY
October 31, 1933 - September 03, 2008
Jerry passed away peacefully in Vancouver General Hospital following a lengthy illness. Predeceased by parents, John and Elizabeth Nickel and infant brother, Melvin, and brother-in-law Elmer Johnson. Jerry is survived by his devoted family, wife, Vera (Bohun), daughter Colleen (Andrew) Sachs; son Jeff (Sharon) and grand-children Michael and Patrick Payne, Maureen and Andrew Jr. Sachs and Carter and Cameron Nickel, Jerry is also lovingly remembered by siblings Betty Johnson, Hank (Gyda) Nickel, Alice Sarchuk, Esther (Frank) Berry and David (Ruth) Nickel. His aunt Margaret (Frank) Thiessen and many cousins, nieces and nephews also mourn his passing.
Celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 2:00 pm., Saturday, September 13th at the South Hill Church, 5887 Prince Edward Street at 43rd Avenue East, Vancouver. Reception in the lower church hall will follow.
