George Duncan Forsyth died in Salmon Arm, BC, on December 28, 2003 aged 85.

A celebration of life service and reception will be held from the Royal Canadian Legion, Bridgeport Branch #209, 11131 Bridgeport Road, Richmond, BC on Sunday morning, January 4, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Jack Bowers presiding.

George retired from a long career with B.C. Ferries, having been head Captain at the Albion Ferry, Fort Langley. A veteran of WWII he received recognition for his time on the Gothic Line.

He leaves his loving wife of 62 years, Muriel, his son Craig (Dena) of Salmon Arm, his daughter Terry (Pat) Hamar of Abbotsford, 5 grandchildren, Nichol, Dustin, Britney, Michael and Sean; sisters and brothers, Jean McDonald, Don and Bob Forsyth of White Rock, Joan Smythe of Surrey and Ken Forsyth of Ladner.
