George, age 78, passed away at Worthington Pavilion Abbotsford, BC on February 27m, 2005. George was born on October 12, 1927 in Peel Township, Kitchener, ON, to Henry and Magdeline Metzger. he was married to Christine Simmons in June 1953, and later to Rose Gadon in October 1970.
In Ontario he built for Pearson Silos as well as other agricultural buildings. he moved to BC in the 1960s and continued building in the agri-sector in the Fraser Valley until 1986, after which he worked as a project manager for a few companies until his retirement.
George is predeceased by his parents Henry an Magdeline and infant brother and sister and by his wife Rose in 1996. George leaves to mourn his brother Ed (Mary); sister Sussanah; Brubacher brothers Urias (Louida), Sidney (Hettie), Melvin (Malinda), Elam (Louisa), Henry (Suzanne), Alvin (Mary, and Amos (Esther); children Nancy (GAry) Anderson, Sherry (John) Polonenko, Tim (Kate) Radstake, Laurie Radstake, Tom (Marguerite) Radstake, Kevin (Michele) Metzger, Christine Lockhart, Denis (Margaret) Gadon, paul (Tammy) Gadon; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. George also l eaves to mourn his dear friend Eva and his daughter-in-law Nancy Gadon.

Viewing will take place Wednesday, March 2, 2005 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 11:00 am from South Abbotsford MB Church, 32424 Huntingdon Rd., Abbotsford.
