Frieda was born on December 29, 1922 in Kazun Poland. She passed away with her family by her side on Friday, October 1, 2004 at the age of 81 years and 9 months. She was predeceased by her parents Erich and Julianna Kliewer, infant brother Rudolf Kliewer, and brother Frank Kliewer, and brother-in-law Elmer Gerbrandt.
Frieda is lovingly remember by her husband Theo with a love unsurpassed. She is also survived by 2 sisters Lydia (Edward) Mueller and Margaret Gerbrandt; 1 brother Henry Kliewer; 8 children Fred (Mary-ann) Martens, Lawrence Martens, Luella (Walter) Teichgrab, Harvey Martens, Leona Martens, Betty (Ted) Neufeld, Dennis (Roxanne) Martens, Richard (Christine) Martens; 22 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
8 stepchildren Viola (Ray) Downey, Martha (Fred) Peters, Rose (Jim) Greyeyes, Gerry Wiens, Rick (Tara) Wiens, and Don Wiens.
Ted (Frieda) Kopp, Art (Cindy) Kopp, and numerous step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.
Viewing will be at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford on Tuesday, October 5, 2004 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. at Clearbrook M.B. Church, 2719 Clearbrook Rd, Abbotsford. Burial to follow at Maclure Road Cemetery, 33965 Maclure Rd, Abbotsford. Refreshments to follow at the Clearbrook M.B. Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC.
