Frank "Frankie" Blaschek peacefully passed into the presence of his Lord on April 16, 2004 at the age of 81 at Menno Hospital, Abbotsford. He was born August 20, 1922 in Pustvun, Hungary.
He is lovingly remembered by Mary his loving wife of 53 years, dear children: Robert (Bette), Judy (Ron) Gerbrandt, Terri (Dave) Wittenberg, Richard, and Nadine, and 9 grandchildren. Daniel, Corey; Jennifer (Trevor), Christine; Kimberly, Bradley; Erin, Nathan, and Michael. He will also be deeply missed by his sister Elizabeth (Ed) Folk, brothers Steve (Rachelle) Blaschek and Joe (Irene) Blaschek, sister-in-law Suzanne Blaschek, any many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother Will Blaschek in 2002.
Frank has resided in Abbotsford since 1946 and worked at the Fraser Valley Inn for over 30 years. He enjoyed his music and sitting down to read a good book.
Prayers will be held on Wednesday, April 21st, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 22nd, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne's Parish, 33333 Mayfair Avenue, Abbotsford with Father Glenn Dion officiating.
Burial will be held at Hazelwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Menno Hospital in memory of Frank.
