Frank DeFehr peacefully passed into the presence of his Lord on Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at the age of 91.
Frank was predeceased by his wife Katherine in 1999, son Glen in 1994, daughter-in-law Vivian in 1990, and his 2 sisters Selma Janz, and Linda Goertzen.
He is lovingly remembered by his family; 2 daughters Evelyn (Dave) Schmidt of Wembley, AB; Ruby (Lawrence) Harder of Prince George, B.C.; 3 sons; Eldon (Myrna) DeFehr, of Abbotsford, B.C.; Don (Sue) DeFehr of Kamloops, B.C.; Gordon (Alanna) DeFehr of Scotch Creek, B.C.; and daughter-in-law Helen (Mick) Falk of Abbotsford.
He will also be dearly missed by his 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and his brother Ed (Laura) DeFehr of Abbotsford and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2004 at Henderson's Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. at Maclure Road Mennonite Cemetery. A Celebration of Frank's life will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Central Heights Church, 1661 McCallum Road, Abbotsford with Pastor Christopher Douglas officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideons, in memory of Frank. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Ebenezer Home for their love and compassion.
