EWALD EPP

November 3, 2002

Ewald P. Epp, late of Abbotsford, B.C. went to be with his Lord in the early morning of November 3, 2002 at M.S.A. Hospital at the age of 82 years.

Ed, as he preferred to be called, was born in Ruckenau, Ukraine in 1920, the second child of Peter and Susanna (Martens) Epp. He grew up in the Preoria and La Glace areas of Alberta, where he also farmed for forty years with his wife Mary (Konrad), until he retired in Grande Prairie in 1987. He was also a trucker, a sawmill operator, a carpenter, and a stockman. In 1992 he and Mary moved to Abbotsford, B.C. His greatest joys in life were music (especially singing in choirs and quartets), travelling, engaging in lively and witty conversations, and making differences in the lives of others through volunteering and charitable donations.

His wife Mary; four children, Ellie, Judie, Paul & Rudy; grandchildren Luke, Akasha, Jennifer, Frances, Tova, Kane, Levi, Adam, Konrad, Rowen; and great grandson, Ty survive him. He also leaves brothers William and Walter, and sister Lily.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cross-Cultural Mission Support Ministries (in care of Clearbrook Mennonite Brethen Church) or a charity of your choice.
