Evelyn Mae Stewart

December 22, 1928 - November 1, 2019
Our wonderful and dearly loved mother, grandmother and great grandma, has passed away peacefully at Menno Home on Nov. 1, 2019. She was born in Athabasca, Alberta where she married her husband Roy Stewart. She moved to B.C. in 1959 and raised 6 wonderful children. She is survived by her children; Donald (Nancy) Stewart, Beth (Don) Strachan, Josephine (Stanley - deceased) Cooke, Milford (Linda - deceased) Stewart, Lowrance (Lorretta and Kelus) Stewart, and Alice (Bob) Maryniuk. She has 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.
Evelyn dedicated her life to raising her family and to her Saviour, Jesus, where she spent endless hours in reading her Bible and praying. She has a love for travelling, gardening, knitting and observing birds and flowers.
A big "thank you" to the staff at Menno Home for all the care and comfort that was provided during her final days. Her Celebration of Life is Nov. 16 at 1 pm at HillCity Church 3970 Gladwin Rd, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Hope for Women pregnancy services.
