In loving memory of

Evelyn Esther Westlin (Regan)

January 22, 1925 - February 6, 2008

Formerly of Mission, Matsqui, Agassiz and the last 45 years in Chilliwack.

Evelyn passed away suddenly in Chilliwack General Hospital after a short battle with cancer.

Predeceased by her father, William Regan in 1926; mother Esther Luck in 1983; husband, friend, and love of her life for 40 years, Ernst Evert Westlin in 1994; brothers, Bertrand Luck in 1955, and Robert Luck in 2000.

Survived by brother Ken Luck; sisters, Blanche Wheelhouse and Edna Krukowski; nephews, Brent Luck, Bryan Luck, Larry Luck, Greg Luck, Wayne Luck, Ted Westlin, Barry Wheelhouse, Gary Wheelhouse, Glen Wheelhouse, and Jay Wheelhouse; nieces, Joy Pierrard (Luck), Karen Bidwell (Luck), Sharon Kraft (Luck), Carol Ann Voss (Westlin), Helen Louise Bowman (Westlin), Sylvia Jansen (Westlin), Eileen Rupp (Wheelhouse), and Carol Dobie (Wheelhouse).

Unable to have children of her own, Evelyn was ‘adopted’ by children and parents of many non-related families as aunty, mother, god-mother, and grandmother. She touched the hearts of all who knew her with her kindness, love, faith, and positive smile.

Evelyn came to a personal living faith in Jesus Christ as her personal saviour at an early age. For many years she was an active member of First Avenue Christian Assembly. Her relationship with Jesus was manifested through her concern for God’s Kingdom, to the point that even when up in years she was involved with some youth activities.

Thanks to Dr. Sam, Dr. Schwartz, and staff of Chilliwack Hospital Recovery and Intensive Care rooms. Thanks to Evelyn’s family and friends for the many compliments, expressions of sympathy, support, and prayer given to Ted Westlin.

Special thanks to Pastor Elmer Martin of First Avenue Christian Assembly for his visitations, guidance and support.

A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at the First Avenue Christian Assembly of 46510 First Ave., Chilliwack, B.C. on Tuesday, Mar. 18, 2008 at 2 p.m.

Donations may be made to the Living Memorial Fund, in care of First Avenue Christian Assembly of 46510 First Ave., Chilliwack, B.C. V2P 1W9 or B.C. Children’s Hospital Foundation, 4480 Oak St., Vancouver, BC. V6H 3V4, Room B321.
