Ethel Bernice (nee Johnson) longtime resident of Abbotsford and formerly of Vancouver passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2008. She is predeceased by her husband, Stanley on June 28, 1987; daughter, Bernice in 1966; 2 brothers, Harry and Clifford Johnson. She is survived by daughters, LaVerne and her husband, Dale Roach of Abbotsford, Sharon and husband Brian Mason of Melfort, Sask; grandchildren, Carlene Beet, Rhonda Hilton, Lorne Roach, Laurie (Jess) Carstensen, Darryl Roach (Virginia Feland), Shawn Mason, Lloyd Mason, Kelly (Trent) Mitchell and Christopher (Lisa) Mason; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Elvin, Arvin and Larry Johnson; sisters, Hazel Oshoway, Eileen Walcer, Elsie Thompson and Helen Kirkham; her special friend of 18 years, Ted Jones.
Viewing will be held from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2008 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd, Abbotsford. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2008 “Linden Section” in Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial St., Burnaby and a service of remembrance following at 1:00 p.m. from the Peace Lutheran Church, Marshall Road and Ware St., Abbotsford, BC.
