TINSLEY, EMMY MAXINE
Emmy Maxine Tinsley passed away peacefully in the presence of her Lord and Savior August 6 at Menno Hospital in Abbotsford, BC. Maxine was born September 29, 1918 in Radville, Saskatchewan. She will be forever remembered and missed by her loving family: her son Bill (Clare), daughter-in-law Nancy; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jen), Corrina, Nathan, Matt (Jen), Kelly and Atticus; great grandchildren Trent, Sophia, Danilo, Emily and Alina; and nephew Desmond (Chantelle) Rasmussen. Maxine was predeceased by her parents Lauritz and Anna Rasmussen; three brothers Leonard, Norman and Darryl; sister-in-law Edna Rasmussen; husband Bill in 2000 and by her son Paul in 2005. We will always remember her loving and generous spirit. Mom will also be remembered for faith in her Lord, and her dedication to prayer and Bible study. She was known to spend many hours in prayer. Mom also had a passion for children. She started out as a teacher in one room schools in rural Saskatchewan, and later taught in two schools in BC.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in the Lucas Centre, Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly, 3145 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford. The family would like to thank the staff of Menno Hospital for the wonderful care given to mom. Special thanks to Frieda (RN) for her kindness the last evening of mom's life, and to Kim (RCC) for her support and counsel during Mom's stay at Menno.
