Elvira Janzen
July 21, 1925 - July 26, 2017
Elvira went to be with the Lord surrounded by her children Fred, Eleanor and Johanna at the age of 92 years. Born in the Ukraine, she and her family later moved to Winnipeg where she married Adolf in 1951. Mom was a loving, devoted mother who helped and encouraged us in our studies, music lessons, devotions and prayer. The family moved to BC in 1973 and joined Bakerview MB Church where Mom sang in the choir. She was a gracious hostess and welcomed many friends into their home. They enjoyed traveling to Ontario and to Europe to visit relatives as well as going south. Mom was a great help with her grandchildren and enjoyed visits with her great grandkids. They enjoyed the fellowship in Wedgwood and the home bible studies there. She was a supportive wife to her husband for 60 years. We thank the staff at Bevan Village for their kind care for the past 2½ years. Elvira was predeceased by her infant son Paul, her husband Adolf Abram, mother Helena and sisters Lydia and Margaret. She is mourned by her children Fred (Monde), Eleanor (Richard) and Johanna (Aldo); grandchildren Erik (Catherine), Kristina (Johannes) and Adrian; Joseph, Abraham, David, Danielle and great grandchildren Arija, Else, Freya and Ingrid as well as by nieces, nephews and cousins. Her memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 2 at 11 a.m. at Bakerview MB Church, 2285 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. Online condolences to the family may be made to www.wiebeandjeskefh.com.
