Elsie Linda Wilcox of Abbotsford passed away peacefully on April 25, 2010 at 71 years of age. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Roy, and children Willy (Cheryl), Lynn (Leigh), and Randy, as well as the grandchildren: Kristi, Chayla, Archie, Leigh, Damon, Kristine, Roy, and Katie. Elsie is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Elsie was an avid fisherwoman and an excellent gardener. She loved her family and had many friends. Elsie was a proud and strong family pillar that shared her love and knowledge with all who knew her. As an owner and cofounder of Wilway Lumber she balanced and managed her business time with family time. She will certainly be missed by all those she touched.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Abbotsford Regional Hospital for all the support and care they have given Elsie and her family. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 2:00 pm: Aldergrove United Church 2623 272nd St, Aldergrove BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
