Ellen Kenny, late of Abbotsford, formerly of Winnipeg, died with her children Tracie and Trevor at her side on August 9, 2005.
She was born in Winnipeg in 1939. It was there she married Gordon Kenny in 1967. Ellen was a secretary but put her career on hold to raise her family. She served on several committees, such as Women’s Aglow, Bible Study groups, feeding the homeless. She was also on the ministry team, and received a counseling degree to aid her in her ministry work. She had been on several mission trips throughout the world. She moved to Abbotsford in 2002 to be near her family. She became involved in the breast cancer support team. She will be remembered and missed by daughter Tracie (Lee) Hannaford, son Trevor (Robyn) Kenny, daughter Leslie (Jim) Edmonds and grandchildren Drew, Greg, Lisa, Tyler, Brady, and Alaira.
Husband Gordon predeceased her in 1992. The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Kobierski and the Pallative Care Team at MSA Hospital for their wonderful care and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Breast Cancer Research.
