GUGLIELMIN, ELDA LOUISE
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elda on January 10, 2009. Our much loved mother, Nana, and friend. Elda was a person who loved life and gave it all her energy even while battling cancer for the past two years. Elda had an amazing ability to connect with people - no matter what their backgrounds or ages. Her sense of humour was infectious and she had a caring generous spirit.
Elda was born in Kamloops B.C. on March 18, 1937. Elda lived in North Bend, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary and most recently in Abbotsford B.C. for the past 13 years. Daughter of Art and Dorothy, and much loved mother to Tony (Denise), Tracey, Leslie (Rick), and Todd (Nancy). Former spouse and lifelong friend of Al. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren Laura, Sophie and Sarah and is now their guardian angel.
She touched the hearts of us all. Special thanks to her doctors and the caregivers from Valley Home Support team Brenda, Maggie, Ula and her friend Charlotte who also cared for her over the past several months.
Elda had a passion for the Arts and brought this to life with her dear friend Anne-Marie at Claudio's (1984-1991). Appropriately, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Elda to The Schulich School of Music at McGill University, Jazz Programme and much appreciated by her family.
