EDWARD HENRY

Edward Henry Funk went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, June 23, 2008.

Edward was born on February 8, 1924, in Waldheim, Saskatchewan. The family moved to Abbotsford in 1937 where he received most of his education. He attended Bible school in Yarrow, B.C. where he learned God's precious promises. Edward was a very active member of the Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years. During World War 2 he joined the Merchant Marines. He also became a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and stayed a member until his passing. While visiting his Grandma Gossen in Waldheim, he met Kay Penz. They were married on August 21, 1946 in the town of Waldheim. They moved to B.C. that same year. Together they raised 3 children. Edward was a devoted Christian, loving father & grandfather, wonderful, faithful, & adoring husband. He was predeceased by son Garry in 1998, brother Clarence in 1948, brother Henry 2007, and loving parents Henry & Sara Funk. He will always be in our hearts and lovingly missed by his loving wife Kay, daughter-in-law Kathy Funk, daughter Shirley and Abe Block, son Jim Funk, 9 grandchildren Kelly, Jeremy, Ryan, Jeffery, Rhonda, Jonathan, Richelle, Mike, Liam & their spouses, 13 great grandchildren, brothers Gordon & Leone Funk, Harvey and Eloise Funk, brothers & sisters- in-law, many relatives & friends. We will all miss you so much. Memorial service will be held at th Church of the Nazarene, Abbotsford, Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the

Canadian Cancer Society would be

appreciated.
