June 15, 1937 - December 6, 2018
Edward Haaf passed into eternal life on the 6th of December, 2018 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital at the age of 81 after a prolonged battle with Myasthenia Gravis. Ed was the loving father of Trevor, Jody, and Jay (Hyeri), and proud grandpa of Michaela (Sean), Dominique, Marya, Kiera, Anna, and Gio. Ed always loved his family and he will be missed by his surviving brother Cecil (Marg), foster sister Linda, and many other dear family members and friends.

Ed was quick to make friends and faithful in keeping them over the years and miles. We will miss his love of life, feistiness, and humour. Ed was born on June 15th, 1937 in Scott, Saskatchewan to George and Cecilia Haaf, the fourth of seven children. After joining the Royal Canadian Air Force and travelling overseas, he met Margaret (Williams) while posted to Newfoundland. They married in 1966 and drove to British Columbia to start their family. Ed (Sam) served 25 years with the RCAF and then worked for Abbotsford School District until his retirement.

Our sincere thanks to Dr. Elliott Bogusz, Dr. Johan Tolmie, and AJ and staff at Pharmacity for their compassionate care. We are grateful to the staff and friends at Bevan Village where Dad found a friendly home in his final years.

Prayers will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 7:00 pm at St. Ann's Parish, 33333 Mayfair Ave., Abbotsford, BC. Funeral Mass is Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 am, at St. Ann's Parish. Interment at Gardens of Gethsemane.
