Edward Elmer
Peacefully passed into the presence of His Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the age of 86. Cancer overtook his physical body but it could not suppress his spirit. With a steadfast faith and his quiet nature he faced each day God gave him with humour added for a little spice.
He is survived by his wife Laura, his life partner and friend of 64-1/2 years, his children Marilyn (Gerry) Bruce, Dianne (Rudy) Schroeder, Daryl DeFehr, (Ray) Peters; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents and 3 siblings, infant daughter Carol DeFehr and daughter Janet Peters, and great-grandson Joshua Peters.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 11:00 am at Clearbrook MB Church, 2719 Clearbrook Rd, Abbotsford, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations for Mennonite Central Committee will be gratefully accepted.
