Edith (Edie) goad, cherished wife of Robert Douglas Goad Sr. for 61 years, passed away quietly into the presence of her Lord, after a brief illness. She had been a resident of Menno Hospital since July 2002.
Edie Goad, who would have been 81 on her next birthday, was born in Kingston, Ontario. She has lived in the Martimes, Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, the Northwest Territories and the Yukon. Edie treasured her beloved Canada.
A Memorial Service will be held at Stephanie Place, 33731 Marshall Road, on Friday, March 26th at 2:00 p.m. Rev. D. Hunter will give the sermon. Viewing will take place on Thursday, March 25th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 3070 - 275A Street, Aldergrove, B.C.
Edie is survived by her husband, Robert Goad, Abbotsford; children Stephen Goad, Vancouver, Carolyn Bourcier, Vancouver, and Philip Goad, Maple Ridge. She is predeceased by two sons, Robert Douglas Goad Jr. and Kenneth Garfield Goad. She also leaves several sisters, a brother, 2 daughters-in-law and a number of grandchildren to mourn her loss.
