Earl Burton Smith

February 25, 1939 - August 9, 2017


Earl Smith passed away unexpectedly at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster. He was the nephew of Ernest (Smokey) Smith V.C., C.M., O.B.C., C.D. Earl was formerly active as a Director in the Hyack Festival Association, a Captain in the New Westminster Fire Dept., President of the Abbotsford Ravine Park Salmon Enhan cement Society for 20 years, owner of Hub Fire Trucks, President of the Royal Agricultural & Industrial Society, and many roles in the Central Fraser Valley Chapter of the Vintage Car Club of Canada. He is predeceased by his wife of 53 years Jean Audrey Smith (nee Madland) and his sister Jean Isaac. He is survived by his sons Brian, Ron, David and their families: sister Diane Isaac, brother in law Ed Issac, sisters in law Luella Stuart and Linda Westendorp, their families, nephew Randy Issac, seven grand children, and three great grand children. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 - 4:00 pm Wednesday Sept. 13, 2017, at the Armoury of The Royal Westminster Regiment, 530 Queens Ave., New Westminster, BC.
