BROWN Doris (Vaudry). It is with sadness that we say goodbye to Doris who left us on July 6, 2011 at the age of 74 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Pembroke, Ontario to Isadore and Antoinette Vaudry, she was the oldest of 4 girls. Having moved to BC to begin her career as a registered nurse, she met and married Guy Brown, her husband of 23 years. Mom loved the outdoors and was active in local biking, hiking and skiing clubs throughout the years. More recently, she became involved with square dancing. Always having a nurse's heart, she cared for many and will be missed by her children: Heather (Lonny Andrews), Peter, her sisters: Joan Vaudry (Gary Stewart), Doreen (Clarence Nieman), brother-in-law, Moe Cliché, ex-husband, Guy, as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. Doris is pre-deceased by her parents and her sister: Rita Cliché. At Mom's request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Christine Morrison Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society. Specials thanks to Dr. Walia and the Abbotsford Cancer Centre; Dr. Potter and all the angels at the hospice.
