DISTAN, Doreen Louise
September 14, 1919 ~ September 12, 2010
Doreen passed away peacefully at home, as she had wished, just short of her 91st birthday. She was predeceased by her loving husband Bill and son-in-law Tony. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Judy and Wendy (Joe), and son Bruce; grandchildren Jonathan (Dawn), Nicole (Aeron), Veronica (Rob), Kimberly (Jeremy), Christina (Troy), and Ryan(Tressa); great grandchildren Braeden, Jordan, Julia, Kalen, Zackary, Luke, Tyler, and Ethan; brother Alfred (Elizabeth); many nieces and nephews; and wonderful friends and neighbours. Doreen was born and raised in Vancouver and met her husband-to-be in the R.C.A.F. where they were both serving during WW11. After the war they married and began their family.In 1952 they moved to Port Coquitlam and remained there until 1981 when they moved to Mission, where they enjoyed their retirement years traveling in their 5th wheel, bowling and playing cards with friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 1:00pm at All Saints Anglican Church, 33077 2nd Ave, Mission, with Rev. Sharon Salomons officiating.
